Hancock Square

Norristown, PA

As one of the oldest public parks in the United States, Hancock Square is the center of the community in Norristown, PA and its redesign is the largest ever reinvestment in the downtown. Park improvements include creating a fully ADA compliant accessible park, which negotiates almost twenty feet of vertical grade change. The meandering path echoes the form of the nearby Schuykill River and the plant palette is made up exclusively of plants native to southeast Pennsylvania.
