Lesley Conroy participates in DESIGNArlington Awards Jury

Ballston Pedestrian Bridge by StudioTECHNE Architects and Pellar & Associates

Conroy Landscape Architecture principal Lesley Conroy joined four other design professionals engaged in local projects to determine the winners of this year’s DESIGNArlington awards. The awarded projects are leading a wave of recent design and construction that is transitioning Arlington County from utilitarian, dull building types to projects that embrace their local context and are well integrated into their sites.

These include the County’s first built ADU, bold residential designs, a public aquatics center, and affordable residential buildings.

Lesley was joined by the following jurors: Coulter Toatley of Dewberry, John Savo of NBBJ, Meghan Spigle Dowker of National Capital Planning Commission, and Dierdre Darden, a local curator for the 11th Street Bridge project.

Winners were announced during an online celebration on February 11. Learn more about the winners here.
